Another Day another chance I have to live with my entire being. And that means mind, body and spirit…
I was meditating on how everything Is being run by Love. I was sitting on the train yesterday and I began to see how the life in every body around me was supported and sustained by love. And everyone has a different way by which they go about attaining love or showing love. Some receive love through being beautiful.. some through wealth.. Fame.. power.. renunciation.. wisdom. They take pride in these qualities .. And based on where they are finding love.. that energy sustains the body. When we lose these qualities (or our feeling of having them).. we fall into very depressing states.. almost as far as suicide. Almost as if the life force begins to drain away. And love is usually conditional. I love you if you give me this.. Or if you are my race.. or if you were also from my country. Or if you believed in the same philosophy as me.. So Love then can never be experienced fully..
For example.. One popular song called. “swagger like us”. By TI.. Kanye.. Jayz- Lil Wayne.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Tg8-YwLQeM The song is about how amazing it is that they have so much of one of those qualities. They are the best.. because they have these qualities.. and its a glorification of these material qualities. They recieve love from people because of these material qualities. Only thing.. the material energy is always changing.. and is temporary.
A spiritualists also has a connection to these qualities.. And sees them as the essence of who they are. So they walk with the same swagger.. But their love is from a place beyond material qualities. They have a confidence in what they do because they are being backed by a spiritual potency that is eternal and beyond the temporary material world.And they are connected to a person who has all these qualities in full…. and that person is their best friend.. ever well wisher.. Kind of like being the son of a king who owns all the money in the kingdom.
Because that love isnt based on any material situation like race, wealth etc.. Then it is more readily available and can be given any time and anywhere.
Ahh lofty goals.. haha

Music is in a terrible state…. but its in a beautiful state at the same time. Terrible in that most of the Music Industry is just trying to milk the public for money. Also because musical geniuses are very few. When I turn on the youtube.. or the radio.. or mtv.. I see the same thing over and over and over again. Nothing new.. the same old.. money cash hoes flows.. Self servicee.
Where did all the selflessness go in artistic expression? Did the slaves not sing to bring hope for freedom of the future? Bob Marley said “400 years.. and its the same philosophy”.. he also said.. “No chains around my neck.. but i’m not free.. I am still bound here in captivity.” ..
Or Maybe those chains are the bling bling.. that some get so attached to. Theres nothing wrong with a little bling bling.. As long as you blinging for the right reasons.
So.. yes.. its in a terrible state.. But WAIT!.. ITs in an amazing place also. Because it give you and me the chance to bring Music back to where it is suppose to be. It becomes an adventure for the revolutionaries. For the real geniuses.. That stand as a channel for that higher information to come though.. SO its a blessed time for music.. A wonderful amazing time!..
And music has no choice but to take the route of enlightenment.. Spiritual advancement. Real Love.. shine through the vibration of sound… So take up your staff warriors..
So take it up.. So many are hoping that you take it up. Why should we go along with the masses.. just because its “cool”. Take up your sword!

Hows every one doing out there… Hope love is overwhelming your experience.
I have a nice headache right now.. Maybe the recording session I have with one of the band members and a rehearsal for some shows @the end of the month.. will make it go away… HAHA.
Working on alot of music in the MGCA lab. Especially because we have some shows coming up @ the end of this month.. And trying to do alot of rehearsing…
Trying to learn the art of being a good servant-leader. A great spiritual leader once said thata real leader is actually the greatest servant.
Keeping the band members together.. making sure all the events are happening as they should.. We have a beautiful crew… but sometimes it can get a bit tricky. Everybody has their responsibilities.. and jobs and family to look after.
Im a bit stubborn when it comes to working @ a place that I dont want to work @. I want to make empowering music.. throw uplifting events.. arrange live giving seminars… I dont want to work @ a supermarket.. to make money for what I really love to do. I rather do what I love to do and have a flow of money from that. Anybody with me? Ah.. its very possible.
And my crew has to see that as a possibility too.. that faith has to be there.. that we can do this musical service … and that Divine energy will take care of everything.
This past week.. lots of fun to speak.. As I seek to understand love.. and have that move my feet!
Saturday L-Fay Boogy.. Jason and I.. Stopped by The Girls Club for their Saturday Performance series.. Beautiful thing they got going on there.. The name of the Show on Saturday was ” Remembering Martin”.
And I also got to see Justine Kuyamba again.. Running around setting up everything like a mad girl… Alot of positive energy flowing out of that place.. Any body got pictures?
Yes!.. The next day Sunday I visited the Hip Hop Subway Series.. Hosted by Grey Matter. Good job as always. Ran into Justine along the way and she accompanied me to the event… Phillipe Garcesto .. Spoken word extraordinaire met me there..
What I found this week was that all the artists were delivering very amazing messages.. that left me very uplifted and centered at the end of the day. Especially when we started rapping about Hummus! Check out some footage!
Ahh yes… We really came together in a wonderful way.

So Im working on ALOTTT of music.. So much music that I stayed up too late working on a track.. then over slept and missed my Audio production class.. haha . SO I just woke up and continued on the track.. Its coming out pretty nice.. The name of it is “Living for yesterday”. Its all about living in the past.. and living with worries.. or trying to live up to the great expectations of the world.. and how to go beyond that to have a more grounded experience of life. Will post it soon… check out what we have so far though!….
Production will be moving alot faster.. Got set up in good Ol BK. The studio is slowly coming together.. so far I have the whole week booked with people coming in and recording. You should see some photos up of the studio very soon.
