Today some of New York’s busiest dogs took some time off to spend quality time with their humans. The occasion was Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Month.

Union Square was packed with people and their dogs this afternoon. Humans were standing in line to get free popcorn and free cotton candy, while their dogs were waiting eagerly in line to get drawn or painted. One little fellow got spray painted on a bag. He wasn’t too excited about the result though. Little Daisy, who apparently was afraid of her own shadow - had real doggy style, and was definitely worried about getting drawn by some stranger. Can’t blame here really… She is only human - like the rest of the New York dogs that wear fashionable clothes, has two shrinks and eat organic dry food for breakfast…
