Being fashionable late is not always a great idea…

The opening of Top Shop was at 11am this morning, and rumor has it that people were standing in line since 6am.

Since we had a meeting uptown, and then had to grab lunch, we didn’t managed to make it to the store untill 3 pm. We thought at least that meant that all the fuzz was over. Kate Moss had left - and people have no money to shop for anyway these days - right? But what we didn’t keep in mind is that one thing that unemployed new yorkers have a lot of right now is T I M E. The line just went on and on and on…

It’s always amazing to see how cultivated new yorkers are when they stand in line. There’s no pushing or yelling. People are just so used to killing time in lines. They read, send text messages, small talk - or just hang patiently. In Norway things would be pretty different…

We chatted with some girls that seemed to be a little confused though… Why were we here again?

Some people always knows how to make others happy. The neighbouring store were giving out free coffee to customers of their new competitor.

Since we were too lazy to stand in line I guess the inside of the store is still a playground to be explored later this week. If you hurry up you might see a coked up supermodel with a British accent…

Top Shop is located on Broadway and Broom.

So this is what we missed:
