We were partying with Bloc Party last night - just a block from home!
The British post-punkers are visiting the City this week to perform at Terminal 5. Yesterday, after their last concert, the guys stopped by a bar to DJ at Eastern Bloc in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, I missed the concert, but since my lovely romie James is friends with the guys, I got the chance to meet them afterwards.
Luckily, Jason Dickerson were VIP at the concert and could fill us in :
The duo seemed to be having a good time out in East Village, while they got intimate with the fans.
The bands new album “Intimacy” is filled with personal songs - about relationships and breakups gone bad.
The new CD is great, but I must admit that I’m still stuck on their previous 2006 hit, Banquet. Its still my favorite!
Bloc Party were DJ’ing at Eastern Bloc, a gay club worth the visit. And the best thing of all - its just a block from my home.
