You don’t always need money to have fun.
We found this mirror in a window in Soho and managed to have some serious fun just trying to take a picture of ourselves in it.
Other things you can do for free in New York:
Take your recession pet (dust bunny) for a walk in the sun. It’s a great way to meet other pet owners, and fill the day with fun and laughter.
You can sneak in to free events and pretend that you are a part of the exebition:
… and afterwards drink so much free champagne that you forget all your worries.
You can try to look very stupid and hope that someone very rich will marry you.
Or you can pretend that you have a very busy schedule working in a vintage store in East Village.
You can also be a fridge monster and scare all the food - or just eat it.
Or you can have a slumber party.

This is what I would call recession journalism which means that I made this story out of nothing (and some old pictures).
