Last night Norwegian designer Elise Øverland presented her Fall 2009 collection.
Elise is one of the few Norwegian designers that actually “made it” over here. Having done stage clothing design for the likes of huge corporate machines like the NFL during the Superbowl, it’s obvious that she is ambitious about business.

This years collection “Shimmer” was inspired by a book about Japanese sushi given to her by her friend Alexander Rower. So the chopstick-thin, angry looking models were the perfect choice for her Fall look. They presented plenty of desirable separates in metallic fabrics, paillettes and even velvet coats and jackets that, when all put together, were very much in keeping with the season’s rock ’n’ roll attitude. The show was held in a big warehouse near Meatpacking.
Elise actually started off making leather pants, and have famous clients like Lenny Kravitz. Heidi Klum also
loves her stretch leather tights.
