When Team Volcom met up to give their fans a signed one-of-a-kind Volcom team poster, I was there to give snowboard rider Terje Haakonsen my autograph.
Last night Team Volcom, featuring snow riders Terje Haakonsen, Pat Moore, Bjorn Leines, Kevin Pearce and Volcom’s ent revording artists Valient Thorr, was at the Volcom store in SoHo to meet their fans, sign posters, giggle and drink beer.
The snow riders are in town to compete against the world’s best snowboarders for their piece of the $100,000 (!) prize purse at Red Bull Snowscrapers. The event will take place in East River Park and I, as the patriot that I am, cheers for the Norwegian athletes ! I decided to give Terje a little break from the signing and gave him my autograph instead, to show my support.

There was alot of eager fans that showed up to meet their snowboard idol.
Other famous riders that will fight for the prize tonight is Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White, Mikkel Bang, Danny Davis, Dustin Craven Andreas Wiig, Torstein Horgmo and many more.
Anthrax, Black Cold and Valient Thorr will also perform, and hopefully keep you dancing in the NY cold - Don’t forget your warm and comfy snowboard clothes!
I also got the change to thest the quality of one of the Volcom snowboards. These tipsy guys encouraged me to throw the board into the ground to see if it survived. This is how it went:
