A blooming day!

Yes, it’s actually possible to spend a whole day at Bloomingdale’s - especially now as the Christmas zoombies has gone to sleep.
Since it wasn’t exactly the weather to be outside, my friend Marthe and I decided to kill 6 hours at Bloomingdales. January is the biggest discount month of the year, so we decided to go and look for free activities and Christmas stash on sale.
The long day startet off at an event on second floor were we met Nicky Kinnaird, the president and founder of Space NK.

Then it was time for a little lecture with perfumes, cakes, cleansers, cakes, make up, cakes and facial creams…and some more cake. Bloomingdale’s often arrange different events, just ask employees in the cosmetic section on 1th floor for upcoming events.

My favorite product was the party oils; First aid for days with hangovers $ 48.

Plastic fantastic! Only $ 50 (!) for this little creature…

Luckily, we found a funny guy and this 11% discount card for tourists:

Then we had some real blooming! This NY skin is full of pollution - Simply pick up a free gift card at Shiseido for a 30 minutes facial massage. To be found on 1th floor straight past the perfume jungle.

Cupcakes $ 28 and fancy panties $ 18 in a heart shaped-box. Me like.

And then we got some stylish make up on! Sonia Kashuk ( who usually does Cindy Crawford’s make up) is composing her masterpiece, and Marthe is ready to invade the NYC clubs when night falls on Manhattan.

Warning: Bloomingdale’s are fave destination for the sale zombies who’s aiming for the brown bags, so be sure to bring some patient. Such adventures is quite exhausting, but luckily - they have a couch on the 3th floor for customers like me with a bad need of a power nap ( with blooming pattern, of course).

Bloomingdale’s have two stores located in Manhattan; One on Upper East Side and the one Marthe and I visited is in SoHo.
