That was the question, but it felt very natural peeing and talking to Eva Mendes at the same time.
The reason for this kind of weird event was that I was interviewing Eva Mendes today at the Waldorf Astoria here in New York. She was promoting her new movie “The Spirit” that premieres this Christmas.
After the interview I had to use the bathroom, where I met my Swedish colleague. We exchanged some experiences and gossiped about how private Scarlett Johansson was, how cool Samuel L Jackson was – and then she told me that Eva Mendes admitted to her that she couldn’t swim. One second later the sound of flushing - Eva Mendes steps out of the cubical. And this is what happened:
Me: Oh, we were just talking about you, Eva. That you can’t swim.
Eva: Yes, it’s actually true. I can’t.
She washes her hands – I enter the cubical she was in. I start peeing.
Me: Wow, why can’t you swim, Eva?
Eva: I don’t know – I guess I just never learned how to.
Me: Really?
Eva: Yes, it’s true. But I will learn. Next time you interview me I will know how to. I promise. Ha, ha.
Me: Ok, I will remember that…
Eva: Ok, ladies. It was nice meeting you girls. Have a great holiday.
Me: You too.
Considering the frequency of me interviewing Eva (only 2 months since last time – for “The Women”) she might have to hurry up getting that swim coach.
Anyway – thought I’d just share something from the interview with you guys (yes, especially guys – I know you love her). This is how Eva thinks about being naked (you can see her totally naked in The Spirit)
