In this weeks New York Magazine there is a big article about the shady cabaret club on the Lower East Side, The Box. We took a peak to see what all the fuzz was about.
Although we did not meet the co-owner and president Simon Hammerstein that the article in New York magazine is about (yes, surprise, surprise he is being accused of sexual harassment from his staff), we did get a pretty good idea of what made people talk about this place.
If you ever decide to visit the theater reminiscent of New York’s old vaudeville palaces you definitely will witness some serious offensive and crazy stuff. But I guess one of a kind freak shows like this is the reason why we love New York in the first place. Although it doesn’t mean that we enjoy every second of it.
