It’s a wild guess, but you probably didn’t know that elephant trunks have more areas of usage than spurting water in a circus arena. We needed a fashion show to find out …

Last Friday yet another fashion event hit the stage in the Meatpacking District here on Manhattan. The occasion was the ‘Asian Elephant and Conservation Project’ - a charity project with the agenda of saving the elephants of Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand from extinction.

Yup, elephants can actually paint with their trunks. This time they spent their artistic energies on fabric which famous designers then turned into clothes.

14 year old Elsa from Bali loves to paint.

According to experts elephants can even learn how to paint figurative art. They need about three years to learn how to paint a tree. Some elephants are extremely meticulous, and to judge from the videos they showed at the event, the huge animals get terribly proud of their artwork … Just watch this:
