I thought my heart would stop when Gucci Westman told me we were doing a three day job for American VOGUE …

The fashion series that we were doing was inspired by the classical love story of Romeo and Juliet. The legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz shot the pictures.

Top model Coco Rocha was going to be Juliet, and ballet dancer Roberto Bolle was Romeo.
All the dresses were hand made especially for this shoot, by designers like Nina Ricci, Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Lacriox. The dresses were flown in in huge boxes from Europe, guarded by an assistant from French Vogue!

Pretty snobbish, but the wildest photo-shoot I’ve ever taken part in. Wow…
I took some pictures when noone was looking … (I think)
Fashion make-up MAX highlight!!!!

Sara Rostrup is 27 years old and has been working as a freelance make-up artist in Copenhagen these last six years. In august 2008 she travelled to NYC to get closer to her make-up idol, Gucci Westman. She’s already reached her goal; to assist this star among make-up artists. Except from breathing in some cosmopolitan air fumes and inspiration, her schedule consists of participation in NY Fashion Week, several make-up jobs for Danish and Norwegian magazines and freelance beauty journalism.
