Sometimes you’re just at the right place at the right time …

The October-edition of Vanity Fair

My girlfriend and I participated at this year’s Vanity Fair ACRIA event in The Hamptons. As usual there are many known faces around, and some less known (us) on events of this kind - but it’s always fun to socialize with decision makers in the realms of fashion, trend and beauty. After a while you become “friends” with these people based on the fact that they think they know you because you’re always around. And you think you know them because you’ve seen pictures of them a hundred times and more in the media. That’s often a cause for confusion and amusing moments.

All the best from Morten Davidsen

This is The Hamptons:
In the summertime Manhattan’s high society move out to The Hamptons. With a setting consisting of endless beaches, pools and summer and sun, you’d think that the society calendar would get slightly less hectic, but no. Summer is short - and every weekend Hamptons is filled to the brim by events, charity parties, launches and openings. One of many good causes supported by Vanity Fair is ACRIA. ACRIA is an orgnization collecting money for AIDS research and this year the fashionable event was hosted by the famous photographer Steven Klein, with famous guests like Donna Karen, Bruce Weber, Calvin Klein, Linda Evangelista and Justin Portman.

Så morsomt! Tenkte faktisk på det da jeg las bladet på flyet hjem i helgen… Lurte på hvilket fasjonabelt selskap denne nordmannen jobbet for… :)
