New clothing stores are constantly popping up on Manhattan. Norwegian Nina is the mastermind behind one of the newcomers.

This winter Norwegian Nina Wolff opened a store together with her American husband, Abiri Ward. Cry Wolf is located by the busy Saint Marks Place, and has already managed to become a popular store for trendy hipsters and curious tourists. In cool locales, designed by Nina herself, the relaxed East Village-couple sell clothes, sneakers and jewelry for both sexes. Nina defines their style as ”casual streetwear”.

- We wanted a mix of American and Scandinavian brands, and we have gotten great feedback on our selection, Nina tells me.

- I like clothes that have structure, details and alternative solutions, the cute Bergen (Second largest city of Norway) girl says, explaining that their personal taste has been the primary guideline when choosing brands to promote.

On the racks you’ll find the raw jewelry from Bijules, the cool and simple dresses from the American brand Quail, and the minimalist sneakers from Clae.

Address: 111 Saint Marks Place, between 1. Avenue and Avenue A.
